ok i have ordered some Sierra 6.5:1 Reduction Gears for my zook but have no idea how to fit them in my zook are they hard to fit is there anyone in perth that wouldnt mind helping me fit them

Pretty straight forward. You will need a press.

X2 you don't need a press, but in my opinion you need some pretty good gear pullers, a factory service manual, and a reasonable degree of mechanical aptitude.

(oh and a pipe and mallet to use in place of the press)

It will take you about 3-4 hours to do the whole job, cleaning parts THOROUGHLY as you go. Don't rush it. :wink:

i used a mates little 6 tonne supercrap press.Thy are bloody cheap and a good excuse to buy a tool now i say :lol:
It done the job reasonably well,had to muck around a couple of times but it worked well

I did mine with a stack of beer and pizza and a helpful ex-mechanic bro-in-law :D No press or gear puller ... just some gentle work with rubber mallets and some pipe.

Didn't need the service manual - just cleaned and organised everything as we went. Work out what everything you're pulling out does before you pull it out, and how the new bits your putting back in are going to fit in. Will make it a heap easier to reassemble because you understand how it has to work and can nut it out on the fly.

doing mine at the moment.
does anybody know if you can get different ratio speedo gears to adjust for bigger tyres?

If so i might as well do it while i have the transfer out
