Just trying to start my car, 87 Narrow track with a 1324 motor. and a square toothed belt First Timing belt stripped. second timing belt is constantly out after spinning the motor around. So finally to the question, How many teeth should the Timing belt actually be?? Sorry for the ramble just trying to explain it as well as possible. Cheer's Simon |

doesnt matter how many teeth the belt has if it tensions up ok if its out when you spin it you are out when you put it on, assuming all your pulleys are square and for a 1.3 |

how many times are you turning the motor over?? one full revolution of the crank or 2 full revolutions???? how far is it out?? |

royce, it was tightening to the most that the tensioner would go but was still just a smidge loose (loose in my eye's but still withing the far end of limits of the manual) all sorted, was mostly the installers |
