Ok heres the dealo iv decided not to get arb Springs for my zook but im not thinking of getting Trail gear 3 " CALMINI 3 " what do u guys thinks better Value for money and why prob a stupid subject so please dont coment if its not going to help me thanks

$wdUSA (not a typo) will have calmini gear in perth, or get it in for you... but be prepared to wait if its not here already, and pay the exchange rate price of it the day you go in to pay... (ie: not todays exchange rate) |

I can only vouch for one set of lifted springs, and they are 2" Lovells, which are the only springs I've used. And I reckon they are brilliant. I'm not gonna pass judgement on any other spring cos I've never used them. |

got 2 inch springs on it atm and i do no its sagged but Arbs OME are only 40 mil to low i think and i was maby just hopeing i could some how fit 33s under it maby with spoa or a body lift later down the track so i thought 3 inch would be a better in the long run also with my saggy 2inch lift i get a little rubbing ..but its really hard to say because its only when its flex up it rubs ..also its sagged ..sorry if that does not make sence lol |

TG 3 inch springs are about as useful as 3inch Calmini's, that is they raise your car by 3 inches and thats it. |

I'll post this car again to prove that there's no connection between lift and tyre size. 
Those are 35" Krawlers. This car runs NO lift. None. At all. It doesn't even have bumpstop spacers. Or a body lift. Yes, the guards are cut like crazy, but it runs flares and 31's on the road and looks so stock you'd never look at it twice. It drives me crazy that so many people will lift their junk to the sky, cut up the steering, run a body lift... all sorts of stuff that won't ever get put back to stock but won't touch a guard with a grinder. Anyway.... good luck finding 3" springs you are happy with - nobody else has ever managed it. |

I will be squeezing 33's under my ute in 6 or so weeks time, and all I have is 2" lift. Guard chopping is the best option for looks and for stabilty. Lots of lift makes you look illegal, and increases the COG (centre of gravity) making it less stable on hills/ side slopes. If you are prepared to go to the effort of SPOA, then why not consider a guard chop?? |

Just imagine a sierra with really, really, really big guards
It runs RUF, vitara PS, a Carby 1., 4:1 transfer, 3.7 diffs and and trimatic (apparently soon to be an M18!) spool/detroit, doubletoughs... pretty basic build. I don't have a lot of photos of it. It was a pretty quick build and I'll let the owner decide if he wants to post any other photos. Works a treat though. It's eleventy times more stable than my junk, and on 31's it's the owner's daily, which is more than can be said for my junk too. Steve. |

I have also heard that the trail gear 3 inch springs sag quite alot as well. best just goin with ARB like ya originally were going too. or like the other boys have said, cut ya guards if its rubbing |

A mate of mine was telling me he'd worked out that a 60 series cruiser diffs would bolt straight into a SWB Sierra - as long as you ran 35" tyres minimum to maintain the same diff clearance. You'd also have to do what he called a "virtual lift" which is just a fancy way of saying cutting your guards... He was telling me that you didn't need engineering for it either, because the car was only lifted just under 100mm, and all the brakes and such were designed for a bigger car, so no safety issues... Not saying he's right, but it sounds interesting... |

Everything your mate said is just verbal dihoroea. As for the engineering thing. I'm sure it is still illegal in NT to do 60's in a zook without engineering, but you aren't likely to get caught, cos for some reason nobody cares about that shit up there

Its been said befoer, and I'll say it again. Spring lift does NOT allow you to run bigger tyres (on its own). The diff moves up just as far, and the tyres will scrub just as much. More lift than needed raises COG and that is a bad thing. And good luck keeping it on the road with SPOA and 33s.... |

33's look big on a zook, but I've seen a couple that still looked neat and well looked after. These are the ones that are most likely to drive past the copper without incident. |
