just put an after market temp gauge in my sierra just wondering what temp it should run at my gauge is in farenheight

Your thermostat will be about 86 degrees open, so I reckon between 90 and 95 degrees C. So thats 194 F to 203F.

it,s sitting pretty steadey at around 170-180 degrres f so i would say there might be a little inacurasy in the gauge or my new thermostat is opening at a lower temp. thanks for the help fat zook

So thats about 75 - 82 C. It depends where the gauge gets its signal from aswell. I'd say thats indicating a little cold. But just for safety sake, if your gauge sees 200, pull over. :D
