I'm takin the zook off the road for a bit to get it running 110% again!

AND i was thinking as i do! Has any one or has any seen it done(Has to be out there somwhere!) Building up a frame and then sheet metal off the rear?

So it's like a single cab ute! The only thing i can see being a problem is the seats not going back far enough! :?

Wouldn't have to be engeneered because it hasn't cut anything or weakend anything it's alot stronger and less noisey then a soft top! 8)

Have any of you guys got any pics of a rig that has done it?

CHEERS!

do you mean the usual cut off tub that people do?

you could always cut the tub further back so there's still room for the seats. so it's like an extra cab kind of thing.

There would be heaps of pics around, there was a debate about it on OL, but i guess you saw that

might be hard to see, but this tub has been cut high in the wheel arch, so there's fair bit of tub still out the back.

and a heap of rednecks hanging off the sides

do you mean seal it with a frame that meets, or sits inside the factory B-pillar hoop? sort of like your soft wall, but hard?

Its been done, looks pretty crap unless you are doing a stretch.
and it means you can't open the cab up on hot days.

Sorry suzuki boy. yeah I think that looks good, infact its actually what I have, but still with a soft wall. I have no issues with the seats not going back far enough and I am 6 foot, in fact have room for them to go back futher. I did used to have a cargo barrier in mine which I modified and that sat inside the soft wall.
I thought you were going to chop it into a shorty with tray, which I dont think looks that cool, but shorty style sides are sweet as.
Good luck with it.
check mine out.

i agree with waxhead, put in a halfwall. (weld sheet steel or use ply) and get a windjammer from mucanvas. i cut my tray down and welded up the back but it could be just as easily done inside the tray.
would look real neat and be very practical.

(hope pics worked)

i have a stockman half canopy that would fit in place of the soft cover in that pic above, it just needs some small repairs that anyone with fibreglass experience could do..
