Bolt it in, might have to change flanges to w/t from the 1ltr case

Bingo. Just make sure you use the 1L case with the 4wd light. The other ones have smaller shafts and won't accept 1.3L flanges.

is there a way u can tell the difference, also how does the handbrake work then????

handbrake remains the same. Just use the WT flanges, and remove the drum brake from the back of the 1L transfer.

And the 1L case you want is the one that has the same 4wd light switch on it. If its not there, you are looking at an early 1L case and should keep walking :D

Actually you CAN use the 1L case with no light.

I have the 1l tcase with no light, to put it in I used half and half unis as you cant change the flanges.

If you do get the 1lt case with no light you need to make sure you get the part of the drive shaft that bolts to the flange and enough good 1l uni caps n clips (they go on the inside!) to put it all together. you also need the speedo cable as its a diferent output.

Mine will be for sale soon as Ive got 6.5s on the was and all the bits to rebuild my 1.3 case.

Nobody said you CAN'T use the early 1L case. You most certainly can use it. Its just that the flanges aren't interchangable with WT or NT 1.3, you have to barstardize driveshafts to get them to work, which makes it very hard to have a spare, and you can't fit reduction gears either. So why pay money for a case that is more effort to fit, uses hybrid shafts and can't be geared down later?

819FKA, if you find a later model 1L case with the switch, use that one.
