What exactly do you mean by cracked? Where, length, depth etc? Pics help also. Just get it welded up if it's on the housing |

Meh - just weld it up. However, it's wise to know why it cracked in the first place. Steve. |

cracked because it got hit if you see the tank its pushed up a bit not losing any petrol so not fussed about that. the diff dont work any more i gess no oil. so tomorow will put in a new diff center and weld it up put oil in it and hope fully it will work (hopefully) |

If it has to pull it all out anyway to swap housings why not just weld it up and call it good. Of the crack was at a spring pad or around the pumpkin, I'd tend to agree a new housing might be a good idea, but for a rock hit it's not worth it. Steve. |

on the note of diffs and the like, what is the spacing between the 4 bolts on the rear wheel. Need to pull and axle and was going to make a plate to connect the slide hammer to but the sierra isnt at my house. |

You can just wack the wheel with a hammer I don't bother taking the wheel off the axle just undo the brake lines and take it out in one piece |
