Need a bit of info or pix if someone can help.

The rear seat mount in my LWB Sierra. The rear mount/latch is all good, but the front mounts are a real nasty bit of home engineering work involving some bent up tin and fencing wire . The seat is not fitted atm for obvoius reasons.

Anybody got a pic of what should be there?

Front seat belts. It has non retractable ones there atm. Are the later Sierra belts retractable and if so, are they a bolt on swap?

are your seat mounts the same as mine, or do you have a normal seat? I've been chasing the front mounts to the back seat for a while, but have been told they're not the normal seats - sounds like yours might be the same. Have a quick look at the photo in this thread and see if thats the seat type you have

My front mounts look a little differant, tho it is a single double bench seat. More of a pressed metal bracket (on the seat frame) than a fabbed bracket like yours appear to be.

The body/floor mounts it had are actually worse that yours, only two bit if wire were holding the front of the seat down

The normal not bench seats brakets I have a pretty simple (they are on the back seat in the shed atm), this may be what you want, I can take a look at home tonight..

A pic will tell us if they are the same, then new brakets can be sourced or fabbed.

I could make you both some slot in ones or solid bolt in ones for the cheap
looking for more projects to use my bender on.

Yeah can make some up, but being what they are wanted to try and make them look as origional as possible.

Hi Rick,

There is usually a bolt that goes through that with a metal clip. on the end to hold it in place.

In regards to retractable seatbelts, it will be a direct bolt on if you have those holes towards the bottom of your B-pillar. I remember reading somewhere some LWB's dont have these.

I'm not saying wearing a seatbelt is a bad idea, but i also know a guy who lived because he wasnt wearing a seatbelt, and he ended up getting pushed sideways and downwards in the cab instead of being crushed

It comes down to what you're doing and how safe you feel doing it.

Back to the OP - For the seat mounts try Van Extras in NSW. I just sent him a few photos of the seat today and he's trying to find some brackets for them. Seems they specialise in this sortof stuff.
