Post subject:  drum brakes

so hear's the proplem im in the process of replacing drum brakes
iv got the wheel off and all the nuts/screw etc off but cant get the hub off
we'v givin it some from the hammer to losen it off but no go

bolt the wheel back onto teh drum and pull it off like that, its likely you have a big lip in the inner edge of the drum, youll need to get em machined

if you chuck the wheel back on and some nuts loosely you can use it as a slide hammer, that usually works well.

hand brake fully off.
i put the wheel back on and sure enough couple o yanks and it was off cheers heeps
the pads are down to the metal ever since i put the 2" lift on the brakes have been engaged slightly and wearin down didn notice till to late.
