Ok just in case I need to source a starter motor. I have a g1.6b vit block Carby and a 1.3 sierra head with 1.3 gearbox with adapter plate. Do I need the 1.3 sierra starter or a 1.6 vit starter? Does the adapter plate make anydifferece to the mounting of the starter? |

Pretty sure ya need a 1.6 one. But you can use a 1.3 one if you grind a bit off it to make it fit. However I don't know which bit you have to grind off lol |

Thanks Bruce, but I will most likely buy a new one when I need it. Cheers |

Some people grind the block...scary! I machined down my startermotor. The main body outer on the lathe, and linished the mount and top cover to suit. Works fine. But i have access to machinery 4 free.. |
