fuck is it hard to follow the manual to set these things rather than going fark I know more about this shit than a BUNCH OF JAPANESE ENGINEERS i'll fix it real good
it does it cause your choke setup is shit, when warm make sure both coolant lines on the carb are getting warm and set your normal idle to whatever, make sure the lights and heater fan are OFF.
now go away for 12 hours to let it cool, when you come back look at the choke flap, make sure its closed and has some tension on it, you would like the little plastic gear on the side that spins it to be in the middle o the bigger gear, if not you need to turn the screw that gores into teh same chamber as the water lines
now start it up and check the idle speed, if its 1100 or so great pat yourself on the head and go about your day, if not, turn it off so it doesnt get warm, now go have a good look at the half moon thing the cable attaches to, see the upside down screw in it? thats the fast idle screw, to get at it you need the throttle open fully (see also why the engine is off?) now wind it in a bit and let go of the throttle and start it and see where your idle is, keep doing this until its right
now dont touch it anymore!!
