| Post subject: | Lockrite diff lock |
My rear diff is whining big time (probably didnt get to the diff pinion seal in time) and now I thinking the best option would be a lockrite any views would be appreciated, Couple of questions thou 1 Are they only available thru locktup 2 Do they make steering heavier 3 Should I but the coupled unit or without coupler 4 How much on average to install |

A lockright in the rear diff wont make your steering any heavier.a front one will 
also if your planning on putting it in the same rear diff you alrerady have it wont fix the whine unless you rebuild the diff. 1 lowrange offroad $189 2 you only need couplers if your side gears are shot , I wouldnt bother 3 they work well in the rear but im not really a fan of them in the front diff but they do work. |

Crunched run's a lockrite in the front & can't turn thing's I do with ease, so that's enough to put me off a front.... unless it's air..

Lockright and PS works fine in mine. yes red I agree in part. lockrights lock just fine in the front but the problem is that they dont unlock the best in the front either. As a cheaper locker they work just fine I had a front and rear lockrite for a long while. but having had both if I were to do it all again i'd run a rear in a heartbeat I think they are a great product for the rear but I'd hesitate to put one in the front as the torque steer and lack of steering when under power gave me the shits. I'd save for a selcetable locker. And yes power steering makes a front lockrite much more bearable |

my rear lockright is the one that shits me. my front works great(1510 in a 2 pin center) but i think my next mod is gunna be a rear air locker. |
