| Post subject: | Vitara brake line |
Was putting some springs in the rear the other day and to get enough drop to get the spring out, I removed a small bracket thing holding the brake line to the control arm (or whatever it's called). Is it ok to keep this thing out to allow a longer extension or is it there for a good reason? |

I left them on and undone the ones up on the chassis |

If it looks like it won't be tangled with anything, and isnt rubbing on anything, it should be fine. |

i just finished putting my kings springs in and vt shocks just flexed it up and brake line was fine still had a curl in it had about 40mm between spring and spring seat have to zip tie them up or make some clamps |

it's the hand brake cable that's attached to both of the rear arms on the vitara's. i made up small extensions for the bracket on the arms & got a heap of slack by moving the clamps that hold the cable up on the crossmember where the A arm mounts. |
