I wouldn't tow it too far and give your self plenty of space from the car in front of you for braking |

Could pull it? Yes. Is it illegal? maaaaybeeee - it will be terribly close to 1.5 tonne if it's not over. Steve. |

you will certainly know that it is there. a good car trailer is going to be 700kg or better and if the trailer brakes are a bit dodgy ya may have trouble stopping. make sure that ya strap the car on properly and have a couple of practice emergency stops. it might be a sierra but it is still a lot of car to drag on a HWY

Your Scuby should be fine ,Just dont try and keep up with traffic and as others have said give your self pleanty of room, use your head.. I tow a trailer full of tools almost every day and i've towed a fair few cars around aswell. Good luck ... |

But towing with it once should be ok ? You only have to not be able to stop once and kill someone. I think you have better rethink the whole thing. |

Go for a practise run, first. I am always careful cause once In my Landcruiser ute I was towing a car trailer that weighed 600kgs with a land bomb(rover series 3) on it and one of the front wheel bearings collapsed, causing me to start swaying hideously on the highway at 80kph until I jackknifed and slid down the road sideways for 100 metres. If that don't scare the shit out of you nothing will. I always always always drive to the conditions, keep a massive distance and am not afraid to stop if I have to exspecially merging into traffic. Its my car my life my load and I am responsible so I don't care if I hold someone up for two minutes as long a sI stay in control of my vehicle |
