Hey guys im wondering on the best (and cheapest) way to mount a winch to my vitara. I have looked at ARB winch bars but they want over a grand for that, is there another option without mounting a bar? does anyone have experience in building custom bars? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

I've bought a universal cradle from eay, which I'm cutting down to fit, and getting some custom brackets made up to mount it behind my alloy bar. I'll then get some plate bent up to bolt back to the chassis and double as a bash plate. If you can figure out enough ways to tie it back to the chassis for strength that's the way to go.

Unfortunately I can't offer much detailed advice, as the SWB and LWB chassis' are very different. Maybe see if ARB will just sell you the brackets? Or someone on here might be able to give you the dimensions.
