Quick stupid question ... I take it the ridges in my transfer casing near the drain plug in the photo below are part of the casting rather than a tear in the casting? I'm fitting a Roctoy ring and don't want to have to break the gasket seal just to check if the case is okay or not. It LOOKS like its part of the casting but just want to make sure... ;)

Yeah Mine are similar.

If it was a crack, i would think it would be leaking.

Cheers - was 99% sure it was, just wanted some backup ;)

Now I've just gotta find a longer bolt to replace one I stripped the female thread on  Fitting a Roctoy ring and one of the bolts only has about 3 threads engagement ... managed to strip them out  Plenty of thread left further in though, just need a longer bolt to engage it.

All the bolts will want to be about 5mm longer now.

Yeah if I can find some at Coventries that are the right thread and length then I will replace the lot with +5mm bolts. Most of them still have a decent 10mm'ish engagement which should be fine but would obviously be better having full engagement.
