Just wondering, for no reason other than curiousity, whether a Subaru "boxer motor" would go into a Sierra? Anyone know what these engines are like?
A mate dropped over today with a Brumby and I measured it's engine to be approx. 680wide x 420mm long, that's just to the end of the crankcase. It looked very compact for an 1800cc.
Any thoughts anyone?
Michael

A while back i was looking at the Vit 2LV6 in a sierra, Had all the measuring done but got stopped on approval as i wanted it legal. I doubt if the boxer is bigger that that, however you may have issues with the gearbox/transfer combo
