Just went to the local wreckers and they have a G16bb there, i have taken some pictures but they are not very good, the sump is very very thin.

Anyone know what this is out of. Cheers.

looking at the sump, exhaust & engine mount, it would have to be out of a newish carry van or something similar

the new APV thingo's come out with a g16 of some sort, when mounted it would be sitting on a 45* angle looking at that sump. the baleno's are almost vertical from memory.

X2 APV.

Had a good look at one sitting on a pallet at Suziworld. They're weird.

Sure, everything could be swapped over to suit a Jimny/sierra/vitara, but geez, youd need a lot of stuff. (all manifolds, mounts, accessories, sump, pickup etc)

That's a good price if it's a sound motor.

Don't get it!

Wasnt the bolt pattern for the gearbox pissed?

Because the motor runs on a lean, the gearbox is vertical..

Yes, the bell housing pattern is clocked 45 degrees. But an adaptor would fix that.

If you run it upright, it "should" bolt straight up to a vit box, sump & all other hang offer's will have to be changed.

I believe the block will be the same as any other G16. as far as I could see when I was looking at it, it's only bolt ons that are different.

I assume the APV uses unique bellhousings to clock the gearbox in the correct orientation.

That exhaust manifold would make an excellent starting point for a budget turbo conversion

Buy it cause its really cheap. I would

It's still cheap if you can source the accessories and manifolds.
