Post subject:  Jimny - Removing Rear Seats

Hi All,

Going away this weekend and want to get a bit more storage area out of the Jimny, is anyone able to advise how to remove the rear seats?

So far I have managed to un-clip and take out the bench part you sit on, so all that is left is the backrest which seems bolted to the side accessory trays.
Any ideas how to remove the backrest?

It is a 2010 Model

Cheers

in the bottom corner of the seat near the bolt is a velcro flap. lift that and there will be a bolt, take that out and the the seat will come out. then u just undo the nut that holds the bracket on. took me a while to figure it out but when u know what your doing its easy as.

Doing that, you still end up with pins coming out of the plastic 1/4 panel. You can remove them by removing the plastic 1/4 panel. (big job)
