Stock 89 1.3 sierra WT with JUST legal road tyres......been playing in the mountains alot with modified 4bs and I can drive stuff I didnt think possible 8O

So I have decided to keep mods simple but need some advise on where Im heading.

Brought a set of new 15x7 -13 offsets $65 each :D and thinking 235 75R15 muddies.....but to get them on do I for now......

2" Body lift
2" extended shackles
and some guard masaging to fit the rubber.

then as funds allow down the track new shocks and springs.

Like I said, want to keep it simple.

i say spring lift, shackles wont give you the full height and may deacrease ride comfort. also BL but if its anything like it is up here the process of getting it approved can be a pain in the ass.

i have 2" spring lift with 235/75 all fits no worries.

no mods, they will go straight on

and good on you for driving the pants off what you have, lots of people could learn from this and would likely enjoy what they have a lot more

yep, your onto a winning combo, sierra's are tippy with height, so the tyres will just bolt straight on. I don't know how many times i've written this but very few understand that the tread pattern and compound make more difference then the tyre size. So the lower the better... If i was you, i would go 50mm body lift and that's it, it will mean your zook is easier to work on and you can lift the Tcase above the chassis rails and pretty well having a flat belly. But if you chose to go the other direction a spring lift (rule shackles out) you might get better ride, and it's legal without engineering, but it still leaves your Tcase hanging out.

less is more in my opinion :D

i have 235/75/R15s on my lwb, i only have a ruf, 25mm bump stop spacers and no lift. it's not the best pic but it's one i've got

Keep it simple, descent tires will make your car alot more capable than your just legal road tires. The 235's on those rims will clear the arches no problems bar trimming the front 'outriggers' that mount the bumper and flattening the wheel arch seams. Thats all you really need to do to fit them. Simple 8)

Great....even though the highly moded zooks look great (which is where we were leaning towards), from what we have been doing stock I love the idea of simple as its more fun....sometimes have to think a bit more about approaches etc. but to me thats what makes it.....my thoughts anyway

Here was us a little while ago.

Cheers and 235's on the way :P
