Just decided to go down the road of replacing the stock radiator with a Civic one considering the price of it is the same as repairing it... and thats half the price of a replacing it with the same type...

Anyways, looking at radiator hoses as i'll need to get custom ones, Theres a few options out there, I figured someone on AZ must know more than me (well... probably the majority do anyways). So is there much difference between

A) cheap rubber flexi - hose
TWO-PLY COOLANT HOSE, ABRASION RESISTANT COVER

B) Bling Bling stainless jobbies - cut it in half to make both hoses
or Flash Autotechnica ones - buy two to do both jobs

C) Cool Flex - Expensive-but-never-have-to-buy-hoses-again (and can choose cool colours and textures)

at the moment i'm looking at the stainless jobbies 48" with 4 ends... So its of decent quality and not too expensive and not waiting forever for it to get shipped.

Might even go in and have a look at repco or supercheap, see what they have on offer...

Any ideas?

You can get generic flexi hoses with the spring inside, would that work?

I don't like any of them, the flexy rubber one's on egay split in the flexy bit & the other's make you car look like a try hard gemini!!

cheap and easy to replace if you have to,

I go to supercheap with sizes, and search through their mess on the shelf to get what i want.

A,B,andC all shit options go to burson,repco etc and choose a stock rubber one that suits .Atleast you can get another one at any auto parts joint. and stockers are less trouble anyway

make a mock up hose with old cut up hoses, a little pipe, and some hose clamps... take it in with a smile on your face and someone might be kind enough to match it for you.

Then take note of what car it's from as well as buy a spare.

I used a mixture of 91 Accord (upper and lower) radiator hoses, and the 4K Corolla hoses already in the Zook
Found an alloy pipe that snugly fit inside the hose to make one join in both top and bottom hoses (Lotsa cutting was required on the Hose lol)
I drew a picture and put it somewhere of what hose section was cut, and where it went.. I should probably find that
Was mean't to help me replace it if needed

So i took it down to my parts dealer, they said i was a whackjob.. And i'd have to get a hose that shape custom made

So i tidyed it up a bit, stuck it in the Zook.. And it's been going for 6 months now with no leaks or bulges in the hose.. Go me!
