even when its set to free my front right hubs been engaged for i dont know how long and caused some damaged to my seals on long drives.

i had a look at it, its missing a spring that pulls/pushes the locking nut in and out (not sure on terminology)

is it easyer to replace the whole lot or find parts and fixit myself

If ya can't afford to fix it then don't drive it. Cheap will not work out cheap just means you pay twice in the end.

with your lack of knowledge I would reccomend get a complete set up that all you have to do is bolt it on If you get a spring it needs to be fitted correctly, JMO

i have no proplem taking stuff apart or fitting them thats the easy stuff
all i wonted to know is if its better to fully replace or fix the current, also recomendations on certain types.
by the looks of things its fully replace.

in response to 11_elv, thanks but id rather go local as i need it pretty quick, iv found a suzi wreckers in perth that can suplly good condition onse same price

Grab one from the wrecker, the hub's are plenty strong enough it's just the spring's that let em down, but that could be put down to lack of maintenance..

& to my knowledge you can't buy just the spring..
