this is how i fix clicky starters
pull the solenoid trigger wire off the starter solenoid
use a normal 30/40 amp relay and earth it to the battery and using 40amp or better
power string run power from the battery to the relay and then from the relay
to where the trigger wire usually lives on the starter.
then use the old starter trigger wire as the trigger for the relay.
then wrap a bit of tape around the relay to keep the smoke in and cable tie it to something.
and then hay presto, ya starter now works properly.
( dont forget to trim the cable tie so it looks like a professional job 
)
