Hey guys i have a few queries regarding a g16b-sierra converson i am about to start. I know there are countless threads on here about this subject but all the info seems to get diluted. So here goes...
I am looking at buying a 2000 model baleno with the manual box.
What i would like to know is.

Will my extractors from my 8v 1.6 fit this engine ?
In relation to the attched picture, what is the deal with these cooling hoses/ protrusion from the block ? will this interfere with the firewall ?
What fuel pressure is required ? i was looking at runnign a 2l external surge tank with an inline lo pressure pump to it then an inline hi press pump to the motor. Will this setup work ? will i need a fuel pressure regulator ?
Do the sierra cooling hoses work ?
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... =fbx_album (in the red square)
Anything else trouble wise you think is worth mentioning please do.
Thanks heaps in advance
Jonny

Can anything be done about these pesky cooling hoses on the back of the motor ? YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A 90* ADAPTOR
so i can run any external efi pump ? YES. STICK WITH SOMETHING COMMON. THAT WAY SPARES ARE EASIER TO COME BY. VL COMMODORE PUMP IS A POPULAR CHOICE
and what parts are required to plumb the 1.6's cooling system into the radiator ? WHAT CONDITION IS YOUR RADIATOR IN?
cheers

Can anything be done about these pesky cooling hoses on the back of the motor ? yep the one your worried about is the thermostat housing get rid of it and put a right angle on there or bash the firwall.
so i can run any external efi pump ? yep you can or if you are getting the whole car use the baleno swimmer
and what parts are required to plumb the 1.6's cooling system into the radiator ? i cant answer that my rads on the back and we used 10 bar oil suction water hose
cheers
