Hey guys i have a few queries regarding a g16b-sierra converson i am about to start. I know there are countless threads on here about this subject but all the info seems to get diluted. So here goes... I am looking at buying a 2000 model baleno with the manual box. What i would like to know is. Will my extractors from my 8v 1.6 fit this engine ? In relation to the attched picture, what is the deal with these cooling hoses/ protrusion from the block ? will this interfere with the firewall ? What fuel pressure is required ? i was looking at runnign a 2l external surge tank with an inline lo pressure pump to it then an inline hi press pump to the motor. Will this setup work ? will i need a fuel pressure regulator ? Do the sierra cooling hoses work ? http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... =fbx_album (in the red square) Anything else trouble wise you think is worth mentioning please do. Thanks heaps in advance Jonny |

Can anything be done about these pesky cooling hoses on the back of the motor ? YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A 90* ADAPTOR so i can run any external efi pump ? YES. STICK WITH SOMETHING COMMON. THAT WAY SPARES ARE EASIER TO COME BY. VL COMMODORE PUMP IS A POPULAR CHOICE and what parts are required to plumb the 1.6's cooling system into the radiator ? WHAT CONDITION IS YOUR RADIATOR IN? cheers |
