hey, i have a 1989 model vitara with a g16a motor in it, i know the motor was replaced my the last owner but i dont know what year model it is, its carbie, the auto gearbox that was in it shit it self, so i bought a manual box to go into it aswell as everything else to do a manual conversion, although when i tryed to fit up the flywheel it wouldnt fit due to what looks like a spacer on the end of the cranksahft its fairly firm on there and im not to keen on pulling it off unless im sure i need to, i can tell it is a spacer because it has kicked sideways and i can only see half of all the threads, has anyone else had this trouble or do i need to get another flywheel that doesnt have a lip and sits flusher on it? cheers |

pull the spacer off, if it was from an auto it will not suit any 1.6 manual flywheel. |

yeah ive already pulled a spacer off it was only loosly on when i took the flex plate off, but this spacer looks like its a tight fit so i duno if it should come off, do u know if where the treads are tapped is it meant to be flat and not have a lip on it that must have acted like a spiggot bearing for the flex plate? |
