Looking at replacing my carby donk for something a bit newer that's efi preferably... and running. 
Do the M13A/B's fit straight in? Anything else that would fit and is SUZUKI only. Don't want a bloody Datsun or Toybot donk.  Annnddd how much would I be looking at for a secondhand engine upto 100,000km on it? Probably not a 1.6 vit engine either, i'm happy with a 1.3.

G16B vitara needs a simple adaptor kit. M13 won't work with your gearbox. G16B EFI conversion can be had for around $1200. PM me if you decide to go that way, as I can usually get low km import ones. Freight to cairns would be about $200. |

Are the G13bb a good donk? Any idea on prices? I guess it does vary from place to place, but a general idea? Thanks a heap. AND is there a need for engineering or anything for roadworthiness, rego etc, when changing engines? or is that mainly based or increase of capacity? Cheers. |

i have to say even tho they are prone to cracking heads i have never sceen one do it yet.. i have spun many a big end from being 2 hot tho! i have also sceen them pull well over 100kw at the wheels stock. no mod plate was required in tassie alothough it differs state to state. |

I was talking about the BB jimny motor. I assume you are still dribbling on about that rubbish GTi motor of yours

my mod plate for my 1.6L carb engine was around $100 from memory maybe a little less, got it done at an egnine shop and was done in like 15mins |

"Bolt in" is a subjective term. Plenty of ppl can bolt a g16b into a sierra - it's a piece of piss. Not many can comfortably handle a wiring loom splice. Or do the job to anything approaching a professional standard. How much of the job are you doing yourself and what are you skills? G16a is the closest to a bolt in conversion with minimal work. |

But IMO the G16a isn't worth the effort. its only a 7kw gain.

So are you saying that the 1lt to 1.6 conversion does not need to be engineered in QLD shep? I'd be very suprised if that were so. Or are you just filling tech threads with rubbish just because you can? |

A few. And Grimbo, it is a simple mod plate for engines up to 1.6L into a sierra in QLD. Since the chassis does not change structurally between the 1.0L and 1.3L, they are treated the same with regards to engine swaps, assuming mods are carried out with correct engineering practice. |
