| Post subject: | sierra 1.3 engine oil grade? |
Just wondering what the recommended oil for a 1990 1.3L sierra is. My sierra had no owners manual and i have searched but somehow can't find the actual recommended oil grade. I've run HPR15 which is 15w60. I was thinking of running HPR10 instead atleast for winter? |

personally I think 10w40 is the right grade for a 1.3 or 1.6 |

Thanks ajsr HPR10 would be ideal then. Out of curiousity do you know what suzuki recommends? |

I got HPR30 in mine, runs ok I believe. Im no oil expert. |

I've never looked at the Sierra manual, but if it's the G13 engine, the recommended oil will be a 10w30 from below 0*C upto around 30*C. If you're in a climate that will see temperatures above that regularly - like I am - you can use a 10w40, if you're in a climate that sees lower temperatures you can go the other way and use a 5w30. |

thanks guys, have been without power hence why i have been slow to respond. I'll just run the HPR10 which is 10w-40 (or 10w-50 with their claimed plus 10 crap) thanks fordem, just the info i've been looking for |
