Well it'll prob be a while before I can afford to transplant a 1.6EFi into my stockman as theres other mods I wanna do first such as gearing, etc. So the ol' 1Lt aint too bad of an engine in the meantime, but is it worth spending a few hundred on it to get a lil more out of it? By this I mean a set of extractors and exhaust, followed by a good tune up. The current exhaust has holes in the muffler and some throughout the exhaust pipe itself, so I'm up for a new exhaust from the manifold back anyway. So I was thinking about getting some of those extractors off ebay for $200, and get them fitted at the same time, to help it breath a lil easier. Then get a tune up. It'll probably be a minimum of 12 months before I can start thinkin of an engine conversion, so would it be worth the $500 odd bucks getting this done...any thoughts |

In the tune up department, a good upgrade for the F10A is replacing the whole dizzy with one from a 1.3. The 1.3 has electronic ignition and eliminates the points and condensor. It's a drop in changeover and uses the same dizzy cap. |

i thought the late model maruti F10A's had electronic ignition? Atleast the maruti engine i bought for my lj had it. You should take a pic of your dizzy to confirm chopz. |

If extractors are fitted is it necessary to make changes with the carby, or will simple adjustments do the trick? |

Cool, I've got a set that came on the spare motor that came with the starter motor. I'll fit it up before I fit your guards. |
