hi all i just bought a 98 coily and love it! but prob is it wont go into 4 low. 4 hi is fine. seems i cant get across to the 4 low gate. i got it off an old lady 1 owner so prob has never used off road. has any1 got any ideas why this could be?

not sure why..

but pretty much every one with a coily puts a wt case in it.. great mod imo

cheers yeh am looking to mod down the track but at this point am to skint so was hoping to get try and get the original sorted

Try rocking it forwards in gear then backwards... It's deffo not the hubs if you can get it in 4 high

No, they have a different, pushrod type setup I think.

I would check the linkage thingo and make sure it isn't loose or something.

yeh i tried rockin it backwards and forwards. nah the linkage isnt loose just wont slip across into 4 low. has any1 heard of the tranfer case fail in these? im in hawthorne

hey,

my coily had to same problem when i started takin it out.. i just drove around for abit in 4 hi and then just used abit of wiggling and monovaring and it slid straight in.. mine has an anouying problem of slipping out to Neutral when under alot of stress.. its good in ways but shits you off when half way over a big rut/rock.
