Hey guys. I've got a 96 coily. Will have a 4age 1.6ltr in my zook soon. Also doing vitara diffs and reduction tcase gears(6.5's). Anyone ever run 33's with this type of set up. I've got 50mm suspension and 50mm body but it's going another 30+mm higher aswell. Any opinions??

I think he means Vitara ratios in coily diffs.

Sorry mate but you will need chromo CV's to run 33's on a coily. But unfortunately nobody makes them yet.

You should stick to 31's, or swap the entire front diff assembly for a WT sierra diff with chromo CV's. (read: Heaps of work!!)

I have run 33's for ages, thrashed, never done a front axle or cv.

Now have you seen a coily CV? Not the same as a WT. Not as strong either.

Fatzook, I have seen the difference in shape between WT and coily CVs, but what exactly makes a standard WT CV stronger.

Also, Can you get Cro-Mo CVs for Jimny - I have heard people run Jimny CVs in their coilies?

ill see what the future brings. yer im getting 5.12 vitara centres, WT Tcase for reduction gears 6.5:1's. my 31's get a flogging and its never failed. if shit brakes i have a few mates with coilies so i can get a couple of spare parts. yer chromo's are nice and exspensive for a daily driver.

you can do a timmy and run a 50mm BL and sagy ass springs.... it's low thats for sure

but timy don't kid yourself there's like 2" over all in your zook and 33s....

Easy, cut them up, put them in.

Run them backwards. If that is possible.

There is no other way in the high pinion front, unless you get a low pinion, and completely change all the steering arms. Which will have to be custom.

Can't usually bash them in enough, because the oil pickup is in the deepest part of the sump.
