The link you gave, first thing I saw was a recon carby, $525, holy fukin grimbo.

my mate bought one from suzistore last year "fully reconditioned" 1.6L bottom end with the 1.3L head (carby). It blew smoke and ate oil. They weren't to helpful in sorting it out for him and would not warrant it for him. They said it was normal for the engine to go through 1L of oil every 5000kms.

I'v spent alot of money at suzi store and havent had a problem. I just wouldnt buy an engine after this happened to a mate.

Alien had a problem with his motor he got from them and they fixed it straight away

they are good at most things, but i dont think engine building is there strong point, perhaps they dont fully recon them they just put new bearings and re-ring them this is when problems begin. service is normally very good though, they have always been ecellent for me even if it does cost a little more $$$

theyve been great for me - yes theyre pricey, but you do get a quality job.

Their recons are a full reco, and they send the heads etc out to get done while they focus on bottom end and wiring.

The issues i had related to the head work and it was fixed free of charge and very fast.

I wouldnt hesitate recommending them to anyone - but people who do it themselves of course will find the prices offensive, while people like me get to drop it off one day and pick it up the next all done and ready to roll, knowing i have a warranty on the work done and that its been done to exacting standards (seans tidy wiring is something to behold, as are brians welds!).

edit: i should also add that i get looked after very well on price there too.

Only thing I can bag them on is dispatch time. I paid for express postage on my last order and it took 8 days to get here.

buy a whole car damaged or not so cheap. fun to dismantle and you get all the other usefull bits off the car well thats what i did. and if its got airbags you can set them off for fun.

iv only used suzi store a bit but i recon for the average bloke they are exspensive.

They have treated me Very well, and always done very good work... they have even done a few things for free for me, even though i had put a $50 note in front of them... the warranty on all work is the icing on the cake... Highly recommend them !!!

It's not Australia Posts fault. The day before it arrived I got a dispatch invoice from Suzistore. In other words it took them 7 days to dispatch the order.
I bet they don't stock all the suzuki genuine parts they have on the site and just order them when needed. Hence the delay.

i emaild them about it and they said that it had to be orderd (gti ecu temp sender)

i just said no issue guys but a email to let me know would have been nice

i buy lots of stuff though them and i get bonus points love that.. didnt relise i got them till my last order and saved $90!

Exactly. I think people seem to forget it's free to send emails.

I used Suzistore for the first time last week, It was only a small job, (distributor seal). They did the job quickly, cleaned down the motor and charged a reasonable price. I'm happy.
I wonder if the Auszookers sticker on my car made any difference . Anyway, i will go back, their workshop is organised and spotless they are profesionals!.

haha yeah actually i called early one morning to order tail lights and not only did they discount the price i got them at 11am that same morning by courier... and the courier was cheap too from memory. meant i could fit them in my lunch break =)

^^ theres most likely a difference in the restoration of the motor... i know also that suzistore dont buy engines with over a ceratin KM on the clock before the refresh happens - so theres that to consider also.
