Hey all
ive picked up a lwb and am removing the dodgy 2" body lift that was in it.
Does any one have a diagram of where all the factory body mounts/ rubbers go?
How important are all the little square rubber bits? and what are they stuck on with?

its an 84, nt, lwb.
Cheers. Tim.

I bet Just Cruizin can help. I have one of his BL kits and I can't fault it...

There are 10 mounts. You can add others - you should be able to tell where they go from your chassis.

The mounts (8 shown) are the centres of the dimension in the bottom pic. The front is facing the left. If you look at the pic, on the big cross member where the floor steps up to the rear (where the 1100 dimension is) there is actually 4 mounts not 2 (giving you 10 in total).

I don't know what holds the little square rubber bits in other then the body and chassis either side of them, but you could use sikaflex or similar. I'd recommend putting something in where extra support is needed but I have only 10 mounts on one of my Sierras. The body has flexed when loaded and is torn in places though.

yeah i was thinking sikaflex. it should do the job.
In this lwb there seems to be 12 bolted mounts and judging by the kit i bought , about a zillion small rubber mounts.

Should still be mark's under the body from the old one's, sikaflex is going a lil to far tho, you want to hold em there, not make it last longer than time..
