I've got one going on next week, it's sitting down at the shop right now. Haven't had a look at it yet though. |

Got the snorkel on, looks a bit odd without being lifted, sort of swamps the zook. But I think it looks pretty alright. Fits perfectly too. |

nahh.....there has actually been some effort in the mounting etc in the safari version........the airflow job is a joke. i had one years ago.......gave it away becuase of its crappyness. |

I do tend agree it does look a tad ugly. But chuck it on a lifted zook with decent size rubber and it'd look great. |

i had one years ago.......gave it away becuase of its crappyness. that just sounds like a airflow snorkel in general, i made the mistake of putting one on my challenger, i reckon i would have been better of with a shit pipe one. |

hahaha i so dont understand the hate of airflow... it works perfectly and i've not had any performance decrease (nothing i've noticed). Mines taken a few poundings as well and held up just fine. As to the flow of the air path etc etc the intake on the snorkel is like 1000% larger than the engine needs, i dont understand how you think it would choke it? |

i though the air flow one was originally designed for the rocksta or something like that? |

Yep - that's the one. It "sort of" fits on a Sierra. Personally, I dont like th airflow one - the ram-air sits up far too high IMHO. I like the new Safari one better, but I will be making my own as I regularly drop the the windscreen down, and I need to allow for this. Here are some pics from the Safari website:

hay Pezooki looking at the snorkel i reckon that your windscreen will still fold down. |

Hi shep, Yeah, but it will get in the way of the rifles and spotlight! If I had a hard-top I would be happy to have a Safari. I plan to use 2 sections of stainless pipe and a flexible rubber join at the elbow (it needs to be flexible enough to allow the window to fold down completely). I hope it will work well and still look good! If anyone has done this before I would be keen to see your design! Cheers, Pez |
