Post subject:  2 different fuel pumps?

ive just swapped over the head on my sierra. used the rebuilt one off a 95 model and mine is an 85 model and ive connected all the hoses/lines up except one from the charcoal cannister...i noticed it goes on the bottom of the fuel pump that was on the 85. the problem is that the fuel pump from the 95 doesnt have a barb, only a hole.

what do i do?

The hole/barb on the fuel pumps is just a relief for the internal diaphragm. It shouldn't be connected to anything. The charcoal canister should be connected to the intake manifold.
