Polar_Bear has one in his "resto" vit I think it's a long ranger, maybe give them a buzz to see if they'll make one for you.

i had a look at Long range tanks, for an additional 20L, you had to pay $900ish.

or you could get a 20L jerry can for roughly $20 and get the same thing. sure it takes up a bit off space, but i think its worth it for save $900.

Does any one know if the older 5 door vit tanks are the same as a GV SQ625? I would like to get a LR tank and they have one listed for the older vits

No.

AFAIK the SQ tanks are a supid looking thing with weird mounts ets.

The SE416W LWb tanks will fit between the rails, but are very shallow, and very long and wide, so they take up heaps of space without giving much capacity. (55L??)

The SV tanks will also fit under an SQ, but they will be the same shape roughly and the same capacity.( mounts would need to be fabricated to fit any of these tanks to an SQ.

I will stick with jerry's then :(

Sorry, just to clarify.

With some custom mounts you may be able to get an SE416W long range tank under an SQ LWB. But it will most definately foul on the rear axle of an SQ SWB.

I'd get some accurate measurements from the manufacturer before you do anything else.

If you can manufacture the mounts PROPERLY yourself, then it may be a viable option. Otherwise this will cost you a truck load for nothing more than a $20 jerry can offers.
