hey guys love this site i have a 91 wt soft top great little car but the last owner thrashed it so i am starting from scratch but cant get the motivation to do any thing until i get it running right she runs with a small hiss and stalls ou all the time thought it was carby but have swapped it with another but does the same thing so starting from basics does any 1 have a pic or diagram of where all the vac hoses goe will add phoyos of her soon

Did you replace any gaskets or notice any worn hoses or openings without a hose when you swapped carbys. Could be an air leak, which would stuff the idle mixture. Get a can of carby cleaner or start-ya-bastard and spray around your hoses and carby while the engine is running. If RPM changes you'll know you have a leak.

thanks 4 your research jdk81 but i could not realy understand it most proberbly because im new to the mechanical side of things i think ineed a photo a bit ferther away because i have changed gaskets sprayed basterd on it but nuttin so now that i am half bald i think that i might have all the hoses mixed up

take a pic of your carby and hoses then post it up.
Someone may mark it using noobshop and tell you which hoses are wrong.

all the hoses go in the bin with the sierra carby attached. Get ya self a corolla carby and you will only have about 3 to worry about.

Bolt's up to the sierra manifold, but it may need a kit put through it, has manual choke to, so a cable will have to be made fit..
