Hi
I don't have any experience with car wiring, just seeing if anyone can tell me what each coloured wire job is on the adapter so i can put my new headunit in.
The car is an 02 jimny.
just making sure the black is for earth, red is for +12v power terminal which is energized in accessory position, and yellow is +12v power terminal

do you currently have an adaptor that plugs into teh stock jimny radio that then plugs into teh harness through another plug and the wire colours are red yellow black grey white purple green and maybe blue and orange?

if so it sounds like its the usual aftermarket head unit colours and matching colour for colour should be ok, if its not then your better getting it done for you

yea they're all the colours, i was thinking of going through the adapter for the power and stuff and then using new lines for the speakers

when i did mine i couldnt find an adaptor that fit the back of my stereo and then into the car.

so i had to cut all the wires and solder them together, did colour for colour although they didnt match perfectly, but it all works now anyway.

I wouldnt bother with new speaker wires, not likely youd get any noticeable improvement

If it was in the box with the speaker's or head deck, don't bother, I can assure you the genuine wire is better..
