My sierra came with a roll bar, the roll bar "mounts" are welded to the inside of the B pillar, kinda like hurdle bars in a ute. So you guys that know about this stuff, do you think it would be any good, i.e. save me if my zook rolled?

That is not in any way a roll bar it looks more like a brace for something someone has fitted.

wow - thats craptacular... lol

standard targa bar is pretty dam strong - saw a soft top sierra launch off a blackboy at 40km/hr (pass. side wheels drove up it) - the front leaf got a small bend in it, zuk got about 1m of air while sideways in the air and landed entirely on the A&B pillars (it was diagonally upside down) then slid and dropped flat on its side... the window surround was fine, targa bar only slightly bent, enough that a few kicks put it back into place and doors shut fine.

I'm gonna air on the side of caution and say no. I would not rely on that bar to improve your chances of surviving a rollover. :(

That's a solid effort!
What was he trying to do.. 2wheel stunt driving?

And yes they're amazingly strong strong for what they are!.. Even the window surround is very strong.. Weak points in the roof are the upper door supports that go between the windscreen and B pillar
