Well it started and idle'd fine when i bought it but when you went to rev the engine it would die.. i figured it was one of the jets but this is not the case.. spark and fuel pump are both fine.. the car will not start at all now. and i think i have narrowed it down to timing? maybe timing belt has slipped 1 tooth. or the coil//dizzy is on its way out. what do you guys think?

Drop a 1.3 dissy in to get rid of the points. Will eliminate one potential problem.
I just put a 1.3 dissy into my 1.0 ute. I removed the advance springs from the F10 dist. and fitted them to the G13 unit. Works great.
Get rid of the ballast resistor too.

1 Check the solonoid on the carby... it will have a thin black and white wire going to it from memory when I had an F8A in my LJ. If this connection is brokded it wont start, or idle well.

2 Alternativly chck Coil wires etc.

3 Scatch head
