| Post subject: | A few sierra Q's |
I have three questions. 1: I have found some 225/75/16 muddies on steel GV rims with tubes for around $800. I did the maths and found that they are 29.3" tall. 235/75/15 are 28.9" and I have been told that they fit on a stock sierra. Does that mean that the 225/75/16 will fit? 2: When going through deeper water I have found that my fan likes to chew my radiator 3: Done my diff breathers and want to do gbox and tbox but I didn't know whether you need to remove them to fit breathers or not. Does someone have pictures of the stock breather location and can tell me the best way to fit breathers to them? P.S. I did search |

yes a 225 will fit a stock sierra rim. just get a thermo and hook up a switch. and you could do the tcase in the car but a doubt the gbox would be possible. |

2: When going through deeper water I have found that my fan likes to chew my radiator Laughing I can't remember who it was but someone said a vitara viscous fan fits. Would they stop turning in water? if ur fan is hitting ur radiator .. u may have a busted engine mount (most likely the left side )...as i had the same problem .. and snapped a few fins off after hitting a decent puddle ..so u might wanna check ur mounts |

if you drive through a lot of water just fit a thermo fan. i have mine on a temp switch and also a switch on the dash to turn it off when necessary. it is possible to fit a breather to a transfer case in the car but it is very fiddly, i wouldn't bother unless you are getting water in them i dunno for sure but the gv rims will fit however i think that the rim offset will suck a lot. |
