My wife got stuck today when the key fob for the immobaliser stopped working (14 month old son filled it with dribble). She could unlock the car with the key but because the car had been locked with the remote the car wouldn't start.

Is there a link or something to disable the immobaliser when things like this happen? It could be a real bugger if it happened in the bush!

When you find out, can you let me know as well. I have had the same problem. Now, I don't know how I actually did it, but my remote died & so I played with the ignition timing and the key, & now I can only use the key, and I can't get get my new remote to work, hence, the immobilizer has been disabled.
