about to put one in and the instructions say you need to drill a 81mm hole to be drilled...

81mm is a very odd size....
and can only get a 80mm or 83 mm hole saw.

how important is it to have the hole exactly 81mm?

thanx guys

ben

i'd use 80 then some nice smooth wet/dry to smooth it out and open it up a bit more before hitting with some rustguard to stop it rusting.

i dont really hear the induction that much - althoguh to avoid dust getting in i've flipped the head around, which made it FAR louder... especially when the right foot is on the floor, its like having a reverse exhaust pipe near your head.

it does sound cool though =)

Howdy, wondering how hard it is to route the pipe throu the panel to the air box?

Thinking of ordering one and doing it myself.

Cheers

Two questions:

Have noticed any improvement in power or fuel, and does it create a blind spot where it is?

no huge gain in power or fuel consumption...

and i guess there is a bit more of a black spot...
but I don't mind at all

biggest gain is not having your air box filled with mud which happened to me a few times b4 I got the snorkel. would be the only reason I would get one.

well I guess it keeps the dust out a bit too

it goes straight into the air box from the outside.
there are no bends in the pipe work to worry about.

it really easy to do. =]

I can't see mine at all unless I move my head to the left or right.
