Does anyone know the official description for the 4 x nuts which hold the rear brake drum on... they look like m12 but cant tell what the thread is. Car is SJ50 N/T 1986.

I've got 2 x stripped nuts and so need to order some more over the phone and get them delivered as cant go get them! :(

No local wreckers have any SJ50's to scavenge off.

Need nuts ASAP as car out of action until the wheel can be stuck on properly.

Casually bringing a 88 sierra tintop back to rwc, while replacing pads and cylinders i stripped a nut for the brake drum while putting it all back together. Found this thread :lol: , could not find M12x1.25 nylock's and ended up with high tensile M12x1.25 instead.

Using new nuts;
5 out of 8 go on no problem.
1 won't tighten, it sounds like it's jumping over the bolt thread ?
2 do up but have play ? ie. when completely on the bolt but not tight it wiggles 8O only slightly but it does.

Question time - can i replace the bolt bits ? if so how ? can i do it ' shep tech ' style with a BFH ?
