Hey lads,

I picked up a sierra for the missus to get offroad in last week.
She won't be doing anything extreme in it, just regular beach runs and occasional tag along trips on forest trails/mud.

However she's after some "chunky tyres" for it to replace the worn HT's.
The car is a pretty good driver at the moment, so plans are to keep it pretty stock, so standard sized tyres are desireable.

Initial thoughts are either:
Maxxis trepadors in 205/70R15, or Kumho KL71's.

Does anyone have experiences with these sized on a zook?

I don't know about what the stock size is like but I've got KL71 31s on my zuk. Good on and off road. Never let me down in the rocks or on the sand. Done plenty of Fraser, Moreton, Double Island and Ormeau trips on them and there's no visible damage or wear. I haven't done much mud work on them though so can't comment there.

would 225/70 be too large on stock springs?

Geez Dan. No need for such a long winded response. You should have just written "N" and cut your workload in half.

I got 31 treps and they are great
They stick to everything when u let them right down
I ran 4.5psi on my Sierra and never had a problem
There a bit loud on the high way but everything else is loud in a zook lol
