is the fuel pump pumping fuel, if not make sure you have that shaft/pin in place that moves the fuel pump arm. sorry if this is hard to understand

is it carby or efi? Did you put the pump around the right way? What's a Nevada car?

yeah pull the line off and turn the key and see if it pumps out all over your engine. (maybe point it away )

Its injected yeah?

stick a test light into teh power plug at teh tank end, youll need somebody to crank while you watch to see if you have power there (ecu only powers it while the engine is turning more or less)

if you have power you should be able to hear the pump whir if you stick your ear to teh tank, if you dont, start at the fuse and see if you can hear the relay clicking above the accelorator pedal

it will take a while to prime and get up to pressure but not long enough to think something is wrong

the pins dont normally just fall out but you never know. btw the pin is in the head and will move out slightly etc etc. let us know how u go.

Post subject:  Re: Fuel pump emergency!!!

if its efi then theres no pin cos the pump is attach to the tank not the head?

there is no ppressure if its jsut dribbling out a hose

anyway with injected you jsut pull the bung on teh front of the rail and let it spew all over the radiator :)

Well fuses are all good but pump isn't whirling or anything must be electrical just has to figure out where the problem is

Post subject:  Re: Fuel pump emergency!!!

test light, check for power at the pump and work forward, the fuel pump relay might be the green plug, cant remember

Author:  Fatzook [ Fri Nov 12, 2010 5:15 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Fuel pump emergency!!!

As royce said. Look for the fuel pump relay. I can't remember if it has the green plug or not, but it does have 2 or 3 pink wires leading into it.

If you can't here is clicking on and off to let the fuel pump prime, then something is amiss with the relay.
