Hi all, 2 questions if you dont mind 1. Do you think the stock front metal bar would handle mounting a winch to it (and using the winch of course)? 2. Whats the minimum load winch you think i could use on a sierra? Ive found some 4000lbs and 6000lbs winchs. Cheers Mitch |

The front bar is flimsy crap so don't mount a winch to it. My lwb weighs 1280kg times that 2.2 and that would be a start on the size winch in pounds, I reckon 4000 minimum. Sounds like you need to do some more research |

As eldo said the bumper is crap and is only good for holding the indicators. I would say a 6000lb winch would be the bare minimum and wouldn't expect it to last for long.... I currently run a 9500lb chinese lowmount but will soon be upgrading to a Warn hi-mount. |

Ohk thanks for the replys, was just going to chuck the winch on the front temporarily until i get some sort of bars up front. Maybe ill beef it up to the 8000, 9500lb winch then Cheers |
