once again there is a issue with my car. ive searched the forums but no posts regarding this issue: after running 14* of timming running on 98 octane fuel ( has been running like that for 3 weeks ish) i was on the beach and it started to ping a little then after that its been backfiring on deceleration and sometimes (normally when hot) not idling properly.... ive noticed the carby plunger not as freely moving as normal but yeah ive back the timing back to 8* and its still doing this any ideas????? ive had the carb adjustd but still noo good... |

Strip the carby down and cleane it, blow out the jets, clean or replace your plugs, probably got crap in the carby, try that ,will probably fix ur idle problem, also clean the points under the dizzy cap |

Ha nice, yeah, your probably on the ball, strip the timing gear cover and check timing belt hasn't jumped a tooth, otherwise without laying a spanner or listining to it probably can't help ya too much more |
