Where are the child seat restraint anchor points in a circa 2000 Grand Vitara LWB? Are they on the floor like in the 95 model, or up near the roof?

Open the back door and just at the ruber dust seal at floor level on the left and right are 2 plastic caps pop them off and thats where you bolt the restrant bracket.

Thanks, but I don't actually have one, so can't really picture where you mean. Are they on the floor or up higher?

They are bolted to the floor in the wagon area. So you need quite a long strap on the baby seat to reach it. I had a piccie somewhere of it. I'll see if I can find it.

Bugger - shit of a place to have them, makes using the back area for storage hard. Wish they had them up high like other vehicles.

I don't have the need for mine so I removed them, But I have corcled the spot they are located in the piccy below. It is a pain in the arse! If you have baby seats strapped to the restraints you basically lose the use of your storage area. :roll:
