I was recently in Japan for a couple of weeks and saw a lot of zooks while I was over there, they are a very popular kei car over there with the F6 660cc turbo motor. I noticed that their bonnets have a cool little scoop on them. Me and a few mates where over there for a party/drifting holiday and we are bringing back a container of parts from our drift cars. I think those bonnets look really cool and wouldnt mind one for my zook...does anyone know if they will fit? They look like they will...also would there be any interest in them to buy? If there is I will get a couple extra and move them on cheaply to help some zook owners out Here is what they look like:

They are a 1.0 bonnet that doesn't have the "power bulge" in the middle like 1.3 bonnets do. It will bolt on and line up on a 1.3 but won't shut as it'll hit the radiator. Don't worry about bonnets, bring back power steer boxes and F6A turbo motors/gearboxes. |

you could just take the scoop off and put it on a 1L bonnet over here for the same effect and with the space you saved stick as many sierra powersteering boxes that you can find in there |

You would have a limited market for the engine and gearbox but would have lots of buyers for cheap power steer set ups. The only thing is that the pump brackets would not suit our engines. Those F6a engines only make about 45kw, the real benifit is they are tiny and light, perfect in an LJ, they also have a 5 speed gearbox and a transfer box that is lower ratio than a 1 litre box Early 1 Litre transfer is 1.590 and 2.558 Switch 1 litre transfer is 1.580 and 2.511 F6a transfer is 1.741 and 3.052 |

I'd take an F6A... It'd go perfectly in the mighty boy project I've been thinking about for a while... |

Those f6 motors are worth a packet...no way I'm bringing any in...I'll see what I can find in regards to steering boxes |

As the pump brackets are for an F series motor, would they fit an F10A? Would you still have an F10A if you could replace it with an F6A?? MR1JZ, What packet are the engines worth? Your idea of too expensive might not be our idea. Where did you find those transfer ratios, 2Stroker? The only reference I have is for the later 660, and it shows Coily t/case ratios: |

You'll get them HEAPS cheaper if you search the unlisted back streets for wreckers. Thats if you can find a front cut/ motor etc over there. They melt most of the jimny shit down once its wrecked, cos its not a high value item. |

Yeah those online auction prices are insane when compared to the unlisted back street wreckers over there. My mate wants to fly over, BUY a small truck for a few $K and just drive around picking sweet cuts from the hundreds of random wrecking yards till he has filled 2 40"ers. I said I'd help as long as I get to throw in a few G16's, F6's and K6's
Fuck that skyline rubbish |
